[Ferrari F1]Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – One more opportunity
Maranello, 24 November –The Formula One championship is coming to an end with the final race of the season taking place in Abu Dhabi. Scuderia Ferrari’s head of communications, Alberto Antonini reveals to ferrari.com what the mood is like in the team going into this round. “We head for Abu Dhabi keen to get the best possible result, off the back of a season in which we have been prepared to take risks and which has seen us make progress. “Even if both titles have already been decided, we will do our utmost to give our fans something to smile about. On paper, the tyre compound choices and the track characteristics are not too bad for us, but we know it won’t be easy, given the strength of the competition. There are very long straights and a final sector that is particularly twisty and therefore puts a premium on mechanical traction. The season’s results won’t be signed off until after the final race and the competition isn’t over for us yet. However, we can already state that this year has been particularly satisfying even compared to our early expectations. So far, we have three wins to our name, Sebastian holds the record for the most podium finishes this season in his first year with us and Kimi is still in the fight for fourth place in the championship. And it goes without saying that we are already focusing on next year.”

[Ferrari F1]Brazilian Grand Prix – Vettel on the podium, Raikkonen fourth
Sao Paulo, 15 November – At the end of a race in which the top four finished in grid order, the Ferrari duo of Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen brought home important points for the championship. The German and the Finn ran third and fourth from lights out to chequered flag. Third place for Vettel means he has been on the podium 13 times from 18 starts this year. Raikkonen’s fourth spot is a welcome result, following on from two races that didn’t go well for him. Nico Rosberg won for Mercedes.

[Ferrari F1]Brazilian GP – Penultimate round of the championship
Maranello, 10 November –Formula One flies off to South America for the penultimate round of the championship, at Brazil’s Interlagos circuit. The Sao Paulo track is an unusual one, the shortest on the calendar after Monaco and Mexico, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less enthralling in the eyes of the drivers. Speaking after joining the rest of Scuderia Ferrari at last weekend’s Finali Mondiali event in Mugello, Kimi Raikkonen has special memories of Brazil, as it was there that he secured his world championship title back in 2007.
“What I remember most about that weekend is the determination with which the team set about securing the goal it had set itself going into the event, namely winning the championship,” he told ferrari.com. “I like this track, even though it’s very short, because if you tackle it properly, it’s great fun to drive. Last year, the track was resurfaced and the grip level was high, something drivers always like as it means you can be more aggressive. The fact it’s a short track doesn’t mean it’s easy to set up the car. There are many factors to take into consideration, not least of which is the weather.”

[Ferrari F1]Mexican Grand Prix – Double retirement for Scuderia Ferrari
Mexico City, 1 November – Scuderia Ferrari’s Mexican Grand Prix came to a premature end today. Sebastian Vettel faced an uphill struggle from just metres after the start. The German and Daniel Ricciardo had a coming together at the first corner, which punctured the Ferrari’s right rear tyre, so he had to pit and change tyres. Having rejoined, Vettel moved up from last to eleventh, but a spin on lap 17, made life even more complicated. In the middle stint, Seb was driving at a very strong pace, but a mistake at Turn 7 brought his race to an end. Kimi Raikkonen’s race lasted just 22 laps. Having started from nineteenth, the Finn had climbed back into the top 10. On lap 22, Raikkonen had to retire after a collision with the Williams of Valtteri Bottas, which damaged his right rear suspension. Come the end of the 71 laps, Nico Rosberg emerged victorious for Mercedes ahead of his team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

[Ferrari F1]Mexican Grand Prix – A precise challenge
Mexico City, 29 October – A challenge down to a millimetre. That was the highlight of an evening organised by Hublot to present Big Bang Ferrari Limited Edition Tourbillon Mexico, a special edition watch to celebrate the return of the Mexico City Grand Prix. Taking part in the unusual competition were Maurizio Arrivabene and Sebastian Vettel, who tackled the task of reassembling a bezel held down with six tiny screws. The aim of the contest was to perform the delicate task as quickly as possible, under the supervision of a master watchmaker, from the company’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The winner was Sebastian who completed the job in one minute.

[Ferrari F1]United States Grand Prix – Gritty podium for Seb
Austin, 25 October – At the end of a race which he started from thirteenth place on the grid, Sebastian Vettel made up ten places to finish third, which means he is still in the runner-up position in the Drivers’ classification. After going off the track on lap 20, the damage caused by that incident saw Kimi Raikkonen have to pit and retire a few laps later. Lewis Hamilton won the race, which means he cannot be beaten on points and is the 2015 World Champion.

[Ferrari F1]United States Grand Prix – Back to back in North America
Maranello, 20 October – Scuderia Ferrari is getting ready to tackle back-to-back races in North America, with Texas the first port of call. Lorenzo Sassi, Chief Designer Power Unit, explains the most important aspects of the next race to ferrari.com. “The Austin track has three interesting facets: the first is what’s known as the power effect, or the importance the output from the power unit has on lap time, which is very high at this track. The second is energy management, because the long straights mean we have to ensure good energy recovery in order to maintain performance on those straights. Last, but by no means least, is the fact the track features many sections that rise and fall, which makes managing oil pressure critical. We expect fuel consumption to be less critical than in Sochi, but it’s still a parameter we will be monitoring carefully, because only when we take to the track on Friday and Saturday will we get a true picture of the situation. As for our development tokens, we still have four left and plenty of ideas on how to spend them, both on increasing power for this season and also looking ahead to 2016.”

This Russian podium is Vettel’s eleventh of the season. [Ferrari F1]Russian Grand Prix – A low grip track
Maranello, 6 October –“There’s a special and spectacular ambience to the Grand Prix in Sochi, set within the Olympic Village on the shores of the Black Sea,” explains Alberto Antonini, Scuderia Ferrari Head of Communications to ferrari.com. “The same cannot be said for the circuit itself: there’s a fast section that the drivers tackle flat out between turns 3 and 4. The others are quite slow and feature 90 degree corners. Back for this race are the Soft and Super Soft compounds, but despite the fact that, at previous appearances, this choice suited us, we have to tackle Sochi with a great deal of care, because one can expect to encounter very low levels of grip on track. Even though we are approaching the end of the season, it’s not yet time for us to assess what we have done, because that can wait until the championship is over. We have certainly seen positive signs: three wins and, like Mercedes, we have scored points at every race, but we know there is still a lot to do. We continue to work with great determination and we will try to finish the season in the best way possible, for our drivers and also for the fans.”
