GT Sprint: The latest pole goes to the F430 GTC. AF Corse machinery shows it’s the fastest in qualifying at Vallelunga

The Ferrari 430 GTC of Giuseppe Cirò-Gaetano Ardagna Perez (AF Corse) took its third pole of the season at Vallelunga at the final round of the GT Sprint International Series 2011. That means they will start from the front of the grid, just as they did at the rounds at Portimão and Misano.
It was a hard-fought qualifying for this final round that will decide the overall title and the GTS2 class. Just behind the Piacenza team was Giacomo Barri (F430 GTC run by Vittoria Competizioni) while the overall title leader Matteo Cressoni (F430 GTC run by Racing Team Edil Cris) will start from fourth. There were as many as seven cars divided by just 0.521 seconds: the third row will be made up of the other Ferrari 430GTC of Michael Dalle Stelle (Racing Team Edil Cris) and the 458 Italia GT3 of Niki Cadei-Fabio Mancini (AF Corse), who were slowed by a puncture.
Tomorrow the competitive schedule includes two races of 25 minutes plus one lap. The first race will get under way at 1035 local Italian time while Race 2 is scheduled for 1535.
