Japanese GP - A splendid second for Alonso in Japan

Fernando Alonso drove a great race from fifth on the grid at Suzuka to finish the Japanese Grand Prix on the podium in second place. Felipe Massa came home in the points in seventh place. The race was won by Jenson Button in the McLaren, while a third place for Sebastian Vettel was enough to give the German Red Bull driver his second consecutive Drivers’ world championship title. Fernando’s race went smoothly, but once again, Felipe had an encounter with Lewis Hamilton, which caused some damage to the 150º Italia, that also necessitated the arrival of the Safety Car for the debris to be removed. Now there are only a few days to go until Scuderia Ferrari can continue in its attempts to score podium finishes in the remaining races, when the F1 circus tackles next weekend’s Korean Grand Prix.
