There are just a few weeks to go before the official start of the European series of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, the championship for 458 Challenge cars that is now in its twentieth season. After a year of apprenticeship in which the car ran alongside the F430 Challenge, gathering excellent feedback in Italy and throughout the world, for the 2012 season the mid-rear berlinetta V8 based on the 458 Italia will be the only model used in the championship for the company’s racing clients. In order to prepare best for the first date in the calendar, Ferrari Corse Clienti has organised a session of collective tests for all participants in the European series along with new entrants who want to try the car before they join the championship. This will take place at the beginning of April at Monza’s Autodromo Nazionale.

More than 25 drivers in cars run by eight teams have signed up for the ‘Temple of Speed’, confirming their link to a championship that is considered a reference point in this type of racing.
