INTERNATIONAL GTSPRINT SERIES: Black Team Ferrari wins at Monza
Monza, 1 April
On the same card as the first round of the Ferrari Challenge Europe series, the Monza circuit also hosted the opening event in this year’s GT Sprint Series. The first leg saw Raffaele Giammaria go quickest in qualifying, before delivering a perfect race. The Roman driver entered by the Black Team at the wheel of a Ferrari 430 held off his team-mate Andrea Palma. However, Race 2 saw Palma come out on top in the new Ferrari 458 GT2, beating the Porsche of Glauco Solieri (Autorlando.) Third was the young rookie, Simone Pellegrinelli in the Ferrari, a 430 GT2 entered by Black Team.
The next round takes place in just three weeks time at Imola’s Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit on 22 April, again at the same meeting as the Ferrari Challenge Europe.
