Chinese GP - A dry final hour of free practice

McLaren came out on top at the end of the third free practice session for the Chinese Grand Prix this morning at the Shanghai International Circuit. Lewis Hamilton was quickest in 1.35.940, ahead of team-mate Jenson Button (1.36.063.) Third was the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg in 1.36.389.
The Ferrari of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa finished fifteenth and eighteenth respectively, with the Spaniard’s best lap of 12 being a 1.37.465, while the Brazilian did 14, the fastest in 1.37.831. The two F2012 ran the same aerodynamic configuration and the drivers tried both types of tyre brought here by Pirelli, the Medium and Soft, in preparation for qualifying.
