International GT Sprint - Black Team Ferrari on front row at Imola
Imola (Bologna) 21 April
Imola’s Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit is hosting the Ferrari Challenge Europe and on the same card, the second round of the GT Sprint International Series. Just as happened at Monza, here too the two Black Team Ferrari F430 GTC cars secured the front row in qualifying today.
Pole went to the crew of Raffaele Giammaria and Simone Pellegrinelli in a time of 1.44.089, which is was 221 thousandths better than the 458 GT2 of Andrea Palma. Third was Lorenzo Bontempelli in the Kessel Racing Ferrari F430. An excellent debut also for the Ombra Racing team, running a 458 GT3 for fourth placed Mario Cordoni, fastest of the GTS3 cars, ahead of the Corvette of Del Castello-Benedetti (RC Motorsport.)
he GT Sprint races take place tomorrow, the first of the two 30 minute races at 9 and the second at 14.05.
