Alongside the European Ferrari Challenge, the Mugello circuit was also hosting the third round of the GT Sprint International Series this weekend, which was dominated by Ferrari whose cars took all the top places.

Andrea Palma and the Black Team’s 458 GT2 did the double, following on from taking pole yesterday, by winning both races today. It was an exciting debut for former F1 driver Ivan Capelli, who drove the Kessel Racing Ferrari 458, as he came second in both races, thus coming out on top in the GTS3 class. The second race produced a photocopy result of the first with the Black Team driver proving totally dominant on the twists and turns of the Mugello track, increasing his lead in the overall classification. As in Race 1, Capelli beat all the other GTS3 cars, coming home second overall.

The next round of the series will again be staged on the same card as the European Ferrari Challenge, at the Hungaroring on 1 July.
