A message of help from Montreal

The ground is still shaking in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy and the drama that many families are experiencing in our part of the world involves all of us at Ferrari. For that reason, this afternoon, the team here in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix, wanted to send a strong message to the whole world. Anyone who wants to offer help to those who have suffered a loss or whose house or work place has been lost because of the earthquake can do so through the on-line auction which opened yesterday afternoon at www.ferrari.com. Everyone in the team, drivers, engineers, mechanics, kitchen staff, marketing and hospitality personnel, gathered together outside the Scuderia’s garage this afternoon, standing behind a pit-board bearing a simple but effective message: “Help Emilia Romagna. Auction on www.ferrari.com.” “This is a very difficult time for so many people who live near us and this auction is the least we could do to make a contribution,” said Team Principal Stefano Domenicali. “We hope that between now and 20 June, when it closes, we will manage to raise a lot of money to send as quickly as possible to those who are suffering so much at the moment.”
