Ferrari leads the Grand AM series with a podium in Mid Ohio

The AIM Autosport team finished on the second step of the podium in the sixth round of the Grand AM series held at the Mid Ohio circuit. The result sees it maintain the lead in both the team and driver championships, thus ensuring Ferrari tops the constructors table. The Canadian team has 185 points in the bag, 11 more than the Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GT, with the Maranello marque now on 188, followed by Chevrolet (180) in the Constructors. Having started from fourth on the grid, the 458 Grand AM, in the hands of Emil Assentato and Jeff Segal proved very reliable throughout the race and, thanks to a well thought out strategy in terms of fuel management which meant it refuelled ahead of its competitors, thus bringing home a good points haul. The next round of the prestigious series takes place at Road America from 21 to 23 June.
