Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli – North America Triarsi and Ockey take second podium in Montreal

With a second day of racing here at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit, the curtain came down on the fourth round of this season’s North American Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. It was held on the Canadian track on the same card as the seventh race in the Formula 1 World Championship and the 458 Challenge cars took to the track for one race with separate classifications in the Ferrari one-make series. In the Trofeo Pirelli category, Onofrio Triarsi, driving for Ferrari of Central Florida confirmed his leadership, crossing the line ahead of Mike Zoi (Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale) and Ryan Ockey (Ferrari of Ontario.) Of the gentleman drivers in the Coppa Shell, victory went to Damon Ockey (Ferrari of Ontario) ahead of Darren Crystal (Ferrari of Houston) and Brent Lawrence (Ferrari of San Diego). As was the case in yesterday’s first race, the protagonists in the series wanted to highlight the on line auction aimed at raising funds for those affected by the earthquakes in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy and before the start, a Scuderia Ferrari pit board was displayed with the message, “Help Emilia-Romagna. Auction on www.ferrari.com.” Along with them for the post race celebrations and to support the message were Amadeo Felisa the Ferrari Managing Director and Marco Mattiacci, Head of Ferrari North America.
