European GP - A long way off the pace

Jenson Button was quickest in this morning’s final free practice session for the European Grand Prix, at the Valencia street circuit. The McLaren man lapped in 1.38.562 to finish ahead of the Lotus duo of Romain Grosjean (1.38.655) and Kimi Raikkonen (1.38.759.) The two F2012s were ninth and twelfth in the hands of Felipe Massa (1.39.318) and Fernando Alonso (1.39.395.) The Ferrari men ran first the Medium and then the Soft tyres and are still a long way off where they’d want to be. There is therefore plenty of fine tuning to be done prior to qualifying, which they will tackle this afternoon using those updates that delivered good results so far here in Spain.
