GT Open – The AF Corse Ferrari on form once again at Spa

After last weekend’s win at the Le Mans 24 Hours, Gimmi Bruni got himself another victory at the wheel of the AF Corse Ferrari 458. Paired up with Federico Leo, the Roman driver dominated the first leg of the International GT Open, taking place this weekend at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Bruni started from second on the grid and took the lead on the second lap, by overtaking poleman Nik Tandy in the Manthey Racing Porsche. He then build up a lead that saw the AF Corse 458 take the chequered flag ahead of the Villois Racing Aston Martin, driven by Alvaro Barba-Matteo Malucelli and the Scuderia Villorba Ferrari of Juan Manuel Lopez and Andrea Montermini. The next race in this competitive series takes place tomorrow at 1pm. For the 50 minute race, Bruni and Leo will start from fifth on the grid.
