GT Open – Kessel Racing on top in Race 1 at Brands Hatch AF Corse runners up in Race 2

This weekend, Brands Hatch staged the fourth round of the International GT Open championship and the SGT class win in Race 1 went to Philipp Peter and Michael Broniszewski for Kessel Racing, who beat the Manthey Porsche of Nick Tandy-Marco Holzer and the Villorba Corse Porsche in the hands of Andrea Montermini-Cochito Lopez. The Kessel Racing crew ran a perfect race in difficult conditions with a very wet track, after rain fell all weekend. It was their second outright win after that in Monza last year. In Race 2, of the Ferraris entered, the Federico Leo-Gimmi Bruni pairing did well, finishing second in the AF Corse 458 GT2, staging an amazing climb up the order having started at the back of the grid.
The next round of the GT Open championship takes place on 22 July at the Paul Ricard circuit.
