Singapore GP - From Ascari to Alonso: Shell celebrates 500 races with Scuderia Ferrari

The Singapore Grand Prix is a milestone for the partnership between Shell and Ferrari, as the companies celebrate 500 Formula 1 Grands Prix together.

The collaboration between Shell and Ferrari is the longest in the history of Formula 1 and is a great example of a technical and commercial relationship in both the field of motorsport and the motor industry.

The history dates back to 1920 when Shell first collaborated with Enzo Ferrari, then still at driver, before continuing, as Scuderia Ferrari was formed to make its debut in the 1950 Monaco Grand Prix.

To highlight this amazing journey, both Scuderia Ferrari F2012s will carry a special “Shell 500 Races” logo on their rear wing.

Furthermore, for the last round of the Ferrari Challenge APAC, which is running as a support race to this Grand Prix, Scuderia Ferrari test driver Marc Gene will take part in the race at the wheel of a 458 Italia Challenge which will reflect the theme of the “Shell 500 Races” logo with a livery specially designed for this event.
