Singapore GP - A difficult qualifying in Singapore

Lewis Hamilton took pole position with a time of 1.46.362 in qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix, and will thus start from the number one slot in his McLaren at the spectacular Marina Bay track. For the second time this season, Pastor Maldonaldo has put his Williams on the front row, second in 1.46.804 with a bravura performance. Reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel is third for Red Bull in 1.46.905.
However, Scuderia Ferrari had a tough time, especially in Q2, as Felipe Massa failed to make the cut through to Q3 and starts from thirteenth with a time of 1.48.344. Fernando Alonso ended up fifth on the final time sheet with a lap in 1.47.216. The Ferrari men both used one set of Softs in Q1 and two Supersofts in Q2, while Alonso did just one flying lap in Q3 on the Supersoft.
Not exactly a great result for the team, but the F2012 has shown a strong race pace in free practice, therefore adopting an attacking mode throughout the race could deliver a better result.
