Korean GP - An afternoon spent collecting data

The second free practice session for the Korean Grand Prix ended with the Ferraris of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa in third and sixth places respectively. Fastest time of the day went to Sebastian Vettel who did a 1.38.832, followed by his team-mate Mark Webber in the other Red Bull (1.38.864.) Alonso did a 1.39.160 in the F2012, while in the other Ferrari, Massa stopped the clocks in 1.39.422.
The track had rubbered in and improved compared to this morning, thus offering more grip. The team completed its evaluation of the Soft and Supersoft compounds brought here by Pirelli and also tried different aerodynamic configurations aimed at tackling the different characteristics of the three sectors of the track. The final item of the day was the usual long run test.
The third and final free practice session takes place tomorrow at 11, with qualifying taking place at 2pm.
