Giancarlo Fisichella and Gianmaria Bruni finished on the second step of the podium in Japan’s Fuji 6 Hours race. The penultimate round of the World Endurance Championship, in which AF Corse has already taken the team title and Ferrari the one for Constructors, the formidable duo had a relatively quiet time of it, settling for the silver medal position behind the Felbermayr team Porsche, driven by Marc Lieb and Richard Lietz. The second Ferrari entered by the Italian team in the hands of Olivier Beretta and Andrea Bertolini finished fourth, on a weekend when Bertolini discovered on arrival in Japan that he had become a father to Alessia, his second child.

In the LMGTE –AM class, victory went to the Corvette Z06 of Patrick Bornhauser- Julien Canal and Pedro Lamy who crossed the line ahead of the Ferrari 458 of the Krohn Racing team in the hands of Tracy Krohn- Niclas Jönsson- Michele Rugolo.

In just two weeks time, Shanghai circuit will host the final round of what has been a winning time for the AF Corse Ferrari which literally dominated the first edition of the FIA World Endurance Championship.
