Indian GP - A busy day’s studying

Greater Noida, 26 October

In the second free practice session for the Indian Grand Prix, the seventeenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship, Fernando Alonso posted the third fastest time, a 1.26.820, in his Ferrari, while Sebastian Vettel (1.26.221) and Mark Webber (1.26.339) were first and second quickest respectively for Red Bull. In the other F2012, Felipe Massa was down in fifteenth place in 1.28.296.

Track conditions improved throughout the afternoon, providing more grip as the track rubbered in. The two Ferrari men spent the 90 minutes completing the work begun this morning, looking at aerodynamic configurations and set-up on the F2012. Felipe ended the day analysing the balance on his car as well as doing some pit stop practice, while Fernando worked on the usual comparison of the Hard and Soft tyre over a a short and long run.

Next up is the third and final free practice session tomorrow at 11.00.
