Abu Dhabi GP - Alonso on the podium

It’s been a thrilling Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina circuit tonight, with plenty of drama, overtaking and even two Safety Car periods. Kimi Raikkonen took his first win of the season, to stand on the top step of the podium. Behind the Finn in the Lotus, Fernando Alonso delivered another unbelievable performance to take second in the Ferrari ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who took his Red Bull from a pit lane start to third. Felipe Massa finished seventh in the other F2012.
The timing of the Safety Car did not do Ferrari any favours, but thanks to this result, Alonso reduces the gap just slightly, now only 10 points behind the leader in the Drivers’ classification.
