Not just F1 Ferraris in Austin

Emannuel Anassis took the first trophy on offer for the Ferrari Challenge event, taking place at the Texan track on the same bill as the United States Grand Prix, the nineteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship. This is a non-championship event organised by Ferrari North America. Driving a Ferrari Quebec 458 Challenge car, Anassis fought off Alex Popov in the Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale car and Mark McKenzie from the Ferrari of Houston team. Competitors in this one-off event, which features no less than 32 cars on track at the same time, will be back in action tomorrow for the second race of this busy weekend.
