An Eve... Speciale! Montezemolo gets the Eurostars 2013 Superluxury Executive award

Tomorrow’s opening day of the Frankfurt International Motor Show is more eagerly awaited than ever before for Ferrari. Guaranteed to be the star of this, the 65th edition of the most important event of the second half of the motoring year, is the 458 Speciale. This is the latest creation from the Maranello company, a pure sports car which fits into the line-up alongside the Coupe and Convertible versions of the multiple award-winning 458.
Naturally, President Luca di Montezemolo will be at the unveiling ceremony of the new special edition, along with Managing Director Amedeo Felisa and Vice President Piero Ferrari.
Today, Montezemolo is also having something of a special day prior to the Motor Show, as he is being presented with the Eurostars 2013 Superluxury Executive award at a ceremony that will take place this evening in the city on the banks of the River Main. “It’s a great moment for Ferrari and much of the credit goes to Montezemolo,” reads the explanation for the prize that is awarded every year by Automotive News Europa. “The company sold a record 7,318 supercars all over the world last year and took record proceeds. Ferrari has already sold all the 499 examples of the LaFerrari, even doing so ahead of the supercar’s presentation last March. The company also enjoys profits from merchandising thanks to the strong demand for any object which displays the Ferrari logo.”
