Ferrari GT’s in Action in China, France & Italy

There is no let-up in the Ferrari GT action this weekend. The final round of the GT Sprint series takes place in Vallelunga, the French GT series is at Lédenon and the Asian Le Mans series is at the Chinese circuit of Zhuhai along.

After a successful previous round in Fuji the Asia Le Mans Series moves on to the Chinese circuit of Zhuhai. Two Ferrari 458 Italia’s will take part in the round, in the GTE category the #70 car of the Taisan Ken Endless team will be in the hands of a Japanese trio Akira Iida, Naoki Yokomizo and Shogo Mitsuyama. In the GTC category AF Corse have the #77 car for current GTC drivers leaders Australian Steve Wyatt, and Italians Michele Rugolo and Andrea Bertolini. The three hour race will start at 15:00 local time on Sunday.

The penultimate round of the French GT championship takes place at the Lédenon Circuit and six Ferrari take 458 take part. All eyes will be on the current drivers’ championship leaders former French International footballer Fabien Barthez and his team mate Morgan Moullin Traffort. The pair currently lead the standings with 141 points ahead of their nearest rivals in a McLaren with 103 points. The Sofvrev ASP team will have to push hard in the two one hour races, the first on Saturday at 17:05 and the second on Sunday at 13:45, in order to clinch the championship ahead of the final round.

The final round of the GT Sprint series is hosted by Vallelunga this weekend and the cars will take part in two 1-hour races on Sunday at 13:15 and 17:30. Standing in third place in the championship (154 points) Ferrari Team Ukraine driver Andrii Kruglyk will be looking for two strong results to move up in the table ahead of Audi Driver Thomas Schöffler (1st with 200 points) and Glauco Solieri in his Porsche (2nd with 176 points).
