Brazilian GP – Nothing doing

Interlagos, 23 November – Saturday of the 41st edition of the Brazilian Grand Prix dawned wet in Interlagos. After Friday’s torrential rain, there was another downpour for this morning’s third free practice session, which meant not much was done. Quickest was Mark Webber who did a 1.27.891 in the Red Bull, ahead of the Lotus duo of Romain Grosjean (1.28.195) and Heikki Kovalainen (1.28.595.) Neither Fernando Alonso nor Felipe Massa set a time, taking their Ferraris out on track for a single installation lap on the extreme rain tyres. They then waited in the garage for conditions to improve, but in the end, it was decided to save the tyres for qualifying, as it seems there’s a strong probability of more rain coming.
