Sebring, 16 March

The AIM Motorsport Ferrari 458 Italia number 555, came so close, finishing second in the 62nd Sebring 12 Hours in the GT-D class. The car, driven by the winners of the Daytona 24 Hours, Townsend Bell, Jeff Segal and Bill Sweedler, this time joined by Maurizio Mediani, finished just 1.864 down on the Magnus Racing Porsche driven by John Potter, Andy Lally and Marco Seefried after a race-long duel.
The other Ferraris did less well: 13th place for the number 51 car entered by Spirit of the Race in the hands of Matt Griffin, Jack Gerber, Marco Cioci and Michele Rugolo, which finished ahead of its sister car number, crewed by Gianluca Roda, Paolo Ruberti and Mirko Venturi. Things were worse still for the Scuderia Corsa car (Lorenzo Casé, Kyle Marcelli, Alessandro Balzan and Jeff Westphal) which had been fighting at the front in the first half of the race.
In the GT-LM category, after the Risi Competizione 458 had been knocked out when Matteo Malucelli had an accident, the only other Ferrari, the Krohn Racing car driven by Tracy Krohn, Nic Jonsson and Andrea Bertolini, finished fourth 15 seconds behind the winning Porsche of Patrick Long, Michael Christensen and Jorg Bergmeister.
The outright race winner was the Riley entered by the Chip Ganassi team and driven by veteran Scott Pruett, his fellow American Memo Rojas and the Scotsman Marino Franchitti.
