UNITED STATES GP – ALONSO SIXTH IN AUSTIN

Fernando Alonso finished the United States Grand Prix in sixth place, while Kimi Raikkonen crossed the line outside the points. In fact, the Spaniard ended up where he started, but the Finn suffered with a few tyre related problems, finishing thirteenth. Lewis Hamilton took his 32nd career win and for Mercedes it was the 27th. Second was his team-mate Nico Rosberg, while third went to Daniel Ricciardo for Red Bull ahead of the two Williams of Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas. Behind Alonso came Vettel, Magnussen, Vergne, Maldonado, Grosjean, Button and Raikkonen. The action resumes next weekend in Interlagos, Brazil.
