BRITISH GT - Mondello Park - Race 2

By winning the first race at Mondello Park, Nathan Kinch and Andrew Kirkaldy have ensured they cannot be caught in the 2005 British GT Championship. In a race interrupted by a lengthy safety car period, they came home just ahead of the sister Scuderia Ecosse Ferrari 360 of Tim Mullen and Chris Niarchos to take the title. Third went to the Embassy Racing Porsche of Collins and Cunningham.

Piers Masarati and Dimitris Deverikos are almost certain to sew up the GT3 crown tomorrow. Their class win in the Tech 9 Porsche, ahead of the Motorbase Quaife Porsche of Britnell and Stockton, means that they need only a single point to be champions. Lester and Simonsen claimed third in the United Christian Broadcasters Ferrari 360.
